WHAT DOES THE RENTAL PRICE INCLUDE?
WHO CAN DRIVE OUR CAMPERVANS?
We can insure drivers between 23 – 75 years of age who have held a full valid license for more than 2 years.
CAN I DRIVE WITH POINTS ON MY LICENCE?
Highland Coastal Campers can accept up to 2 sets of speeding fines per driver (i.e.SP30) although there is an additional charge for points on licence that were acquired within the last three years.
For more than 2 sets of points or for any points that are not coded SP’s please contact us.
We may not be able to arrange cover for convictions with the following codes: AC, BA, CD, DD, DR, MS, TT, UT and IN so please contact us.
IS THERE A MINIMUM HIRE PERIOD?
Yes, 3 days apart from July & August. However, if there is a gap on our booking calendar, we may be able to offer shorter breaks.
HOW DO I MAKE A BOOKING?
Bookings can be made by email or over the phone. Preferred option is e-mail due to the phone not been manned full time.
To confirm a booking, we need a non-refundable deposit of 25%, the remaining balance will be due 8 weeks before collection of your campervan.
If confirming a booking less than 4 week prior to collection the full amount is required.
WHAT CHARGES APPLY IF I CANCEL MY BOOKING?
More than 4 weeks before collection: Deposit plus 25% of the total hire cost is non-refundable.
4 weeks – 2 weeks before collection Deposit plus 50% of total hire charge is non-refundable.
2 weeks – No Show 100% of total hire charge is non-refundable
Unfortunately, Highland Coastal Campers cannot postpone or transfer money from one hire to another.
WHAT TIME CAN I COLLECT AND RETURN MY CAMPERVAN?
Collection times are between 2 pm & 3pm and cannot be any earlier if a van has been returned back to us on the same day. Booking confirmation will confirm the time.
Please allow 1 hour for the hand-over at our premises – this is to complete all documentation and demonstrate your vehicle to you.
Return times are between 10am & 11am – you will be advised a time at the handover.
A late fee of £50 per hour is chargeable for all Campervans returned after 11am.
WHAT DO I NEED TO COLLECT MY CAMPERVAN?
All drivers must be present on collection of the campervan. You will need to bring and show on collection ALL the following forms of ID:
Full valid driving licence
Passport
Utility bill and bank statement (this address must be the same as your driving licence)
If we do not have ALL the above forms of ID before or at time of pickup, we will sadly have to cancel your hire.
IS THERE A SECURITY/EXCESS DEPOSIT?
Yes, the security deposit is £750 this needs to be paid 3 days prior to collecting the vehicle. We will refund this within 3 days of the campervan being returned in the same condition as when it went out.
CAN I TAKE THE CAMPERVAN TO EUROPE?
Yes, if agreed with Highland Coastal Campers. Higher excess may apply.
CAN I TAKE MY CAMPERVAN ON A FERRY?
Yes, please let us know if you are doing so.
CAN I TAKE MY PET?
Yes, we have a pet friendly van.
DO YOU DO ONE WAY HIRES?
No, all campervans are to be picked up and returned to our premises in Inverness.
HOW DO I GET TO YOU?
Full details will be given when the booking is confirmed.
CAN I LEAVE MY CAR WITH YOU?
Yes, you can leave one car at our premises free of charge.
WHAT DOES MY CAMPERVAN COME WITH?
WHICH PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?
We accept PayPal, online bank transfers or cash. Security deposit must be a bank transfer or via Paypal.
CAN YOU ARRANGE TO HELP WITH GROCERIES?
Yes, you can order online and have Tesco or Asda deliver to us. We will have it all in the van ready for your collection.
